Marc Brown
Local artist, Marc Brown is Southwold born and bred, whose family has lived in the area for generations, born in a house that overlooked the marshes and the sea. His extraordinary landscapes of East Anglia are all inspired by his love of the coast. He graduated from Manchester Metropolitan Art College in 1995 and has since exhibited all over the UK. Working in mixed media, building up layers of transparent colour Marc explores the juxtaposition of large open skies with distant horizon and has become known for his meticulous miniature photorealist elements. His unique paintings are regularly in the gallery with new work coming in straight from his studio by the sea.

Artist biography
Marc graduated with BA Hons from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1995. He has exhibited widely, both solo and group exhibitions throughout the United Kingdom. Private collections are held worldwide and he has completed numerous private commissions abroad including the United States, Germany and Holland.
