Marc Brown
Marc Brown was born in Southwold in 1968. Since graduating from Manchester University he has exhibited his paintings all over the country and has been exhibiting with the Serena Hall Gallery for 20 years. NIck Pratt
Nicolas Pratt has been a working artist most of his life, always drawing and sculpting. Working in a variety of materials such as wood and limestone he produces animal and figurative sculptures that are strong and bold in their design and shape. Cleverly working the material he brings to life a creature from his bare hands. His home in Ferry road, Southwold, overlooks the marshes and the sea and this gives him a window out onto the wildlife that he adores and is fasinated by. His wonderful charcoal drawing's are lively and spontaneous and capture the essence of the birds personalities.
Andrew Pitt
Andrew Pitt paints 'plein air' meaning, outside. He loves to paint quickly and spontaneously, capturing the movement of the weather and the people in the ink and brushstrokes of his paintings. Andrew has had over 30 years experience of painting, exhibiting and teaching.
His watercolours of Southwold and the surrounding area have been selling in the gallery for many years and we are looking forwards to his live demonstration on the day of the festival!

Serena Hall
Serena Hall graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1995 and has worked as a full time professional artist ever since.
Her family home in Ferry road, Southwold gave her endless inspiration as her bedroom overlooked the sea and the marshland and harbour views were part of her garden. Her first studio was the room at the back of her family garage which overlooked the these views.
losing her beloved mother to cancer at aged 15 and then her father a few years later and then her home has made her want to express her joy (and pain) for the memories she has and the joy of life through vibrant colour. Life is short, we must enjoy it!
She has always been fasinated with the power of colour and the emotional impact of colour. She enjoys the work of the impressionist's and the fauvism movement. Her grandparents lived in Spain which has a huge influence on her ceramic work in particular and she grew up surrounded by pattern and texture. She wishes to interpret an emotional response to a time and place rather than a true photographic representation.
Serena has won several national awards and has her work in private collections all over the world.
