Sophie Gregson
Contemporary UK artist Sophie Gregson creates her distinctive glass sails from fused glass and individually hand crafted pebbles. She takes inspiration from both the English coast where she grew up, and from her passion for colour, taken from overseas travel to countries rich in history and culture. She enjoys the process of experimenting with different techniques, such as the temperature of the kiln, to perfect her craft, describing her favourite pieces as those that the buyer wants to reach out and touch.

Artist biography
Sophie grew up in and around art in Devon, her parents owning an art gallery. She has studied extensively glass and sculpture design completing numerous courses. She works successfully from her Kingsbridge studio, selling her work through selected UK galleries and commissioning bespoke pieces.
