Steven Shaw gained a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from the University of Central England in 2003. Since graduating, Steven has had numerous successful exhibitions, and regularly exhibits at the Affordable Art Fairs in London, Bristol and New York.

Steven is constantly inspired by his love of animals and their characteristics. This certainly comes across in his work which often hints at the humourous and inquisitive side of their characters. Steven often employs an extremely refined method of painting which demonstrates his superb blending skills. This is sometimes contrasted with thick textured areas on carefully selected coloured backgrounds. The result is a striking, fresh and quite graphic artwork with a keen attention to detail.
