Gallery News

To celebrate 10 years at our Queen Street location we are hosting an exciting new annual show in St. Edmund's Hall, Southwold. The exhibition features some brand new artists, including Maggi Hambling and new signed limited edition prints by Sir Peter Blake, alongside some gallery regulars. St. Edmund's Hall is just next to Southwold Primary School.

UPDATE: A big thank you to all our regular and new customers who came along to visit the exhibition, which was a huge success. The exhibition has now finished in St. Edmund's Hall, but some work can now be viewed in the gallery in Queen Street.

Serena Hall Gallery recently held an exclusive one night exhibition at the London offices of Mazars at Tower Bridge House. The 'Women in Business' event was organized by Mazars, who invited the gallery to exhibit a selection of paintings, sculpture and jewellery. Earlier in the year, the gallery was commissioned to provide original works for the new offices at Tower Bridge House, which included paintings by Serena Hall, Marc Brown and Steven Shaw. Sculpture was also provided by Brian Dawson.

Serena Hall presents TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall a specially painted scene of Southwold to commemorate the Royal visit to the gallery on 31st July 2008. It was a very exciting day for all, and an honour to welcome Their Royal Highnesses to the gallery, who expressed an interest in the gallery as Serena was awarded a grant by The Princes Trust in 1995 to help her purchase her first kiln. Serena was also awarded the overall winner of the Olay/Princes Trust Award for Visionary Women in 2001. The visit ended with The Duchess purchasing one of Serena's ceramics.
