Becky Blair has been working as a professional artist since finishing her Fine Art degree at Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education in 1994. Since then she has exhibited in New Zealand, Australia, France and the UK as well as commercial commissions, including the restaurant chain Pizza Express, and more recently, Toyota LA.

Whether her subject matter is figurative or abstract, her focus is a playful approach to colour, line and shape, combined with a decorative element, bringing them together to evoke light and emotion. There is a dreamy and whimsical quality to her work which is inspired by the memories of countries she has explored.

In early 2003 Becky combined painting with travelling by taking up a studio in Fremantle, Western Australia. There she created work for her first solo exhibition at the Gadfly Gallery, Perth. Now returned from her second solo show in Australia, Becky has set up her studio in Brighton at the Phoenix where she has been busy painting for commercial clients, as well as towards exhibitions locally and abroad..
