Originally opening in East Street in 1998, the Serena Hall Gallery moved to its current location in Queen Street in 2000 and exhibits modern and contemporary British art by established artists alongside young professional artists.

Our light and spacious three storey gallery is based in the heart of the popular seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk Heritage Coast and displays work by artists from all over Great Britain including emerging talented artists from St Ives and Brighton. We also show the work of many Suffolk and Norfolk based artists whose work is shown exclusively by us.

The gallery is housed over two floors and has a medley of exhibition rooms. Our upstairs galleries has seasonal shows and solo exhibitions by selected artists, while our busy downstairs gallery is a constantly changing rolling exhibition, allowing customers to purchase work to take home with them.

Many of our regular exhibitors bring in new work direct from their studios, ensuring that the selection of work on display remains fresh and exciting. Some of our artists sell exclusively to the gallery and you will see work here not seen anywhere else.

Our superb collection of fine art includes, paintings, sculpture, screen prints as well as the best in contemporary applied art: ceramics, glass, wood, metal, jewellery and textiles.

As a gallery beside the sea, much of our work is inspired by the coast.

As an artist led gallery we are passionate about our work and committed to promoting the work of talented artists in Britain. Together we strive to make the Serena Hall Gallery one of the most exciting in the United Kingdom.
