John Dawkins
John grew up living near the Thames Estuary, which has influenced his work in terms of inspiration and choice of subject matter. He trained at Southend College of Art specialising in graphic design.
Working mainly in acrylics and oils, he has exhibited widely, including at The Mall Galleries in London with The Royal Society of Marine Artists.
John’s home is now in North Suffolk.

Artist Biography
John Dawkins has spent a lifetime in art, originally training in the specialisation of Graphic Design at Southend College of Art. A distinguished career followed in London based design and advertising companies. He began exhibiting his paintings in his spare time from his managerial role in the city, selling successfully and also taking commissions. He has exhibited at The Mall Galleries in London with The Royal Society of Marine Artists, as well as Southend on Sea and his home of North Suffolk.
